I thought The Catcher and the Rye was a really good book. I enjoyed how the book was written mysteriously and different. It was one of those books that has a very good moral to it however you just have no clue what it was. I also liked how J. D. Salinger wrote the book by having Holden Caulfield as first person narrative, where he delivered this story that did not have a beginning ,middle or end. While reading this book, I felt as though I was reading Caulfields diary. I knew every little expect of what he was doing and thinking.
In The Catcher in the Rye,Holden Caulfield tells this adventurous story about his journey to home. He does a lot of reminiscing about his past and how it should be different. In the book Holden Caulfield is a very depressed teenager. He tries to act older than his age and is lonely. His brother Allie, who he was dearly close to,effected him some type of way. I think Caulfield feels that hes not important out of all his brothers and sisters. He doesn't seem to care about life too much because he messes up to much and he knows his parents doesn't expect anything from him. I was very happy in the end of the book he went home but I was still surprise that out through his journey how much he talked about Jane; he never got to see her. Knowing this, it seems like his adventure is never ending.
I would like you to check my grammer and if I stayed talking about one topic instead of jumping from one topic to another.

The Death of a Salesman
Having read The Death of a Salesman before; reading it twice thoroughly made it much better for me to comprehend. Reading the first act first and then watching the movie after made it mush easier to understand. I got very confused when Willy started to reminisce or have hallucinations in the book , but when I watch the movie I started to figure it out and put the pieces together. I thought it was very strange and I didn't quite understand why Willy wanted to get sick and go crazy breathing in the carbon dioxide. While Willy did this I kinda felt bad for his wife and two son especially Biff. The relationship with Willy and Biff seem complicated but understanding. I think what drove Willy to his death was him trying to show Biff an example of what he shouldn't do in life. I think he pushes Biff to the best of his ability because he knows that Biff is a an intelligent young man who can do much more for his life. Also I think that Willy dreams and goals drove him crazy too. He worried too much on the hopes and dreams than what was actually happening in reality. I thought Biff was going to turn out crazy like his father one day , however he stuck in there strong which surprised me. What surprise me the most was how Biff would see and hear how Willy would scream and treat his mother and even caught him cheating on her but he kept his mouth shut. He still treated his father with the same respect and forgave him of all the things he have done.
I think Willy acted the way he acted that lead him to his death because I think he knew that he had nothing else to offer to his family and life.I think he saw how he was tearing his life apart and that he was so messed up from the things he done before that it was better for him to end things now. He wanted to end his death so Biff could have the insurance money to start his career in life.
Reading this book made me realize how it's very stressful to maintain enough money to support yourself and your family. That if you didn't work hard now that in the end you would have to work harder. It also made me realize that all parents have a very tough job. They want there children to have a better life than them and have tons of money to have so. I think Willy did a good job raising Biff because Biff still turned out loving and understanding. He took after his father job when it came to taking care of his mother.
I enjoyed reading Death of a Salesmanbecause it was different and had an unexpected ending. I thought there was a very good moral to it. The book was giving a message out of following your dreams and never give up even when someone is telling you to do so.

Third Quarter Reflections
Using blogger has changed many of my thoughts about English class. I think blogger is a very convenient website to use because it is a way of connecting with both of the classrooms ideas and thoughts on the assignments. I like how we have a head start to use Blogger on Fridays. It gives me an advantage of first jotting down all my ideas and then typing it all out.I think having assignments being typed up on the computer is much better than writing because here blogger has an auto-save where it saves her work automatically however having an assignment written down on a piece of paper may get lost or destroyed. Blogger is very helpful if I'm stuck on writing something or trying to find out the general idea. Reading other fellow classmates assignments help me understands what is going on. Also, having comments from my fellow classmates about my postings help me what Im doing wrong or what I am doing right atleast.
